This is one of my signature Wave Pussy Caps and it combines two of Lisa Souza's hand-dyed, handspun yarns from her Rare Treasures collection. On the bottom in varying shades of pale olive green we have a super-soft blend of merino & silk that transitions up to a deep blue blend of cashmere & silk called Mystere. Two beautifully matched yarns with rich, interesting colors and softness to spare for the most sensitive of skin. This is a snug fitting cap but it has a TON of stretch and so will easily fit anybody's head and comfortably cover the bottoms of the ears.

Most of what you're seeing here is natural silver alpaca from a prize-winning fleece that originated with fibers from Lassen View Ranch Alpacas. It was handspun by Lisa Souza and has a beautiful furry look to it. I coupled it with a thin strand of superfine Peruvian alpaca in natural grey for extra thickness and warmth. Accenting in the band is Wensleydale wool, another handspun yarn from Lisa that she handpainted in a beautiful pallet of golds and blues. Black Chilean handspun angora fur adds the finishing touches in this ultra thick, ultra warm and ultra soft Pussy Cap that has a classic beanie style and fit and looks great on.

My friend Richard commissioned this extraordinary Pussy Cap many months ago and through the gifted spinning of Lisa Souza we were able to come up with the first 100% pure yak Pussy Cap. Richard had requested a black yak Pussy Cap with fibers from Tibet that were blessed by the Dalai Lama. Yak doesn't come in natural black, the fibers are from Mongolia instead of Tibet and they were blessed by the Dalai Lisa as they made their way through her hands onto the spinning wheel. We were close. Lisa's spinning on this yarn is exceptional with lots of thick & thin texture and an almost spiral effect. I crocheted it rather tightly and gave the cap a very wide band and a squared off top. It's easily the thickest cap I've ever made and looks positively stunning on Richard's head. Yak is wonderfully soft and has a very unique texture that really gets a chance to show off here. Special thanks to Lisa for making this possible.

The centuries old Trapper style of beanie cap has just landed at PussyCap.com and I'm presenting it here for the first time in three natural colors of pure Peruvian alpaca; black, brown and tan. Based on a style of hunting and skiing caps that have been around a long time, this Pussy Cap has ear flaps that come down long on the sides and have a green ceramic bead on each one to hold them down and close to the neck. Roll your cursor over the images for more detailed views. This is a thick, super warm and super soft cap that's perfect for boarders and skiers and in fact is mega popular on the slopes this year. The three strands of alpaca are all crocheted together for extra thickness and warmth, but when all is said and done it's alpaca's softness and durability that make it such a winner.

Angora fur is at least 12 times warmer than wool so this cap is for those colder days and nights when you really need the warmth. This is an easy fitting cap with a lot of length for keeping your ears and forehead toasty and protected. And of course it's one of the softest caps you could ever put on your head. Yup, that's angora - extremely warm and heavenly soft - and in this case beautifully colored by a gifted artist. Here's the rub - if this cap doesn't sell soon it's going into my personal collection because I'm crazy in love with it and won't be able to live without it much longer.
