The body of this pale pink Pussy Cap has three different yarns that I crocheted together as one. They are a shimmering white mohair/silk blend from Italy, a pink alpaca/wool blend from Peru` and a very thin strand of white silk & rayon from California. Together these yarns have made for a substantial fabric whose colors are actually much prettier than in the picture. Accenting in a diagonal spiral the entire length of the cap is a handspun pure angora fur that will bloom up a storm with a few wearings.  A simple and classically styled Pussy Cap with an easy comfortable fit.

On the bottom of this Pussy Cap is a really soft yak yarn in three of its natural colors that was custom handspun for me by Gayle Paige. Yak has a very unique look and feel to it and is perfect for wearing next to the skin because it's so soft and warm. Finishing things off at the top here is a rich, natural dark brown alpaca yarn that was handspun by Marsha Berkemeier with fibers from her neighbor's ranch. A traditional beanie cap look and style - perfect for the guy or gal who wants something a little different but not too different. In other words, just a good old fashioned beanie cap that looks and feels great on.

This highly textured, softer than soft yarn was handspun from natural white, pure alpaca that's had a thin strand of silver spun into it. The effect is a flurry of white with sparkling undertones. In the band I added natural black baby alpaca and doubled it so that it'd match the weight of the white. A row of double crocheted white alpaca is nestled into the black baby alpaca. This is a unique handspun yarn - thick and ultra warm that worked up into a big roomy Pussy Cap that'd work really nicely for someone with lots of hair or who just likes the look of a bigger cap.

This pale blue yarn from the Rowan yarnmakers of England is a wonderfully soft and durable blend of alpaca & wool that's ultra thick and will provide a lot of warmth and protection in the coldest of weather. I've accented it with a handspun pure angora fur yarn in its natural white for a Pussy Cap that's clean and simple and would be great for the slopes or a sleigh ride through the countryside on a cold winter's day. A classic beanie cap fit and style.

Everything just kind of came together so perfectly in this Pussy Cap. The white yarn is one of my signature yarns millspun in Canada from the downy soft fur of Samoyed sled dogs. It's got a little bit of merino in it but you'd have to use a miscroscope to find it. It's the Samoyed fur that prevails. And wow, when it starts to bloom, watch out! Riding shotgun is a fantastically colored yarn spun in Japan from silk, mohair and wool. These are amazing colors and to my eye one of the most intriguing combinations I've yet seen from a commercial mill. Hover over the images for more views. This Pussy Cap has a roomy generous fit and a tall gathered crown and when the Samoyed fur starts to bloom you're going to have something pretty special going on.

Well, here you go, luxurious everything and then some for the person who not only wants a fabulous beanie cap on their head but doesn't mind wearing a permagrin on their face at the same time. There are two spectacular yarns here and they're coupled throughout the entire cap. First off we have a Pussy Cap exclusive from Canada that's blended from equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. It's dyed a rich maroon called Bitteroot and is so soft and luxurious that I promise you're going to fall in love at first touch. (When was the last time that happened?) Next up is another Canadian beauty that's 100% pure angora fur in its natural silvery grey. You can already see the bloom starting on it where I doubled it up and used it in the trim. With a massive four inch turned up band you've got a major winter cap here that's going to keep you so warm, even in a freezing arctic storm, that you might have to take it off  once in awhile just to keep from bursting into flames. The fit is snug and will loosen slightly over time but still fit comfortably and securely next to your head. This is an extraordinary Pussy Cap that will only get more beautiful over time.

From Canada we have this rare and beautiful natural white Samoyed fur yarn into which the gals who spin it have added a little merino for strength. It's an amazing yarn that will with a little time and a couple of wearings begin to develop a delicate halo which both softens the yarn and makes it more beautiful. Coupled with it in its natural warm tan is a Peruvian superfine alpaca yarn that will become more and more subtle as the Samoyed yarn blooms. Accenting in the band is another Peruvian alpaca yarn, this time a tweed in natural blacks, greys and white along with a strand of Northern Lights yarn that's blended from cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. Strands of all of the yarns are purposely left loose at the top of the cap as an accent. The fit is comfortable without being sloppy and the softness and warmth are everything you'd expect from a Pussy Cap.

A new Mush Puppy Pussy Cap from my signature collection. It's been awhile since I've had one of these available for sale and now that I have a fresh supply of this rare and exquisite yarn on hand I'm excited to start introducing the new Mush Puppies to you. Yes, this yarn is spun from the fur of Canadian Samoyed sled dogs whose owners shear them in the spring, save the bounty and take it to my pals on Prince Edward Island where they spin it into this luxurious yarn. (There's a little bit of natural white merino wool blended into it for strength and elasticity.) In time and with a couple of wearings the yarn will start to bloom, eventually creating a halo around the cap that completely hides the stitches and creates the look of a pelted fur hat. I've seen a couple of my friend's Mush Puppy Pussy Caps that have bloomed and let me tell you, they're just spectacular. The florettes that you see in the border here are double-crocheted from three yarns that include a handpainted Bombyx silk, a silk/mohair blend and a baby merino wool. A very thick cap with a big easy fit, ethereal softness, unparalled warmth (just ask the dogs) and unabashed delicacy.

Perfect for the slopes is this Pussy Cap that couples a natural white, soft organic wool from Peru` with a downy-soft, handpainted domestic angora fur in muted pastels. Thickness, softness and warmth are what this cap is all about. A large cap that will still fit snugly and stay on your head no matter what.

$100.00  Cap #69  Sold
A couple of really great yarns went into this big Four Corners Pussy Cap. The light tan yarn you're looking at is pure baby alpaca from Peru` in its natural color. Spun with great care and spun thicker than usual, this is baby alpaca at its finest. Its companion is a yarn that I ordinarily wouldn't use because it has some artificial fibers in it but it was so beautiful I had to make an exception. It's an Italian yarn with bits of rayon, nylon, silk and wool in it. Along with the baby alpaca it helped create a unique and attractive fabric. If you take a peek under the hood you'll see that I did the inside of the cap where it rests against the forehead and ears completely out of the baby alpaca so that there'd be nothing but downy softness next to your skin. This is a big cap with a comfortable but not sloppy fit. If you don't like the danglers the cap is fully reversible. Warm, soft, protective and beautiful on

$140.00 - Cap #8608  Sold
I kept the picture of this Pussy Cap a little lighter than it should be because I wanted you to be able to see the texture in the black yarns. In reality the cap is a little darker than what you're seeing here. I started things off with a fabulous handspun angora fur yarn in its natural black, grey and silver colors. To give it a little more substance I added my Northern Lights yarn from Canada that's blended from equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. It's a beautiful smokey black and nestles perfectly into the long fibers of the angora fur. Part way up the cap we transition to an all black crown that's a pairing of the same smokey black Northern Lights yarn that's with the angora fur. Only this time it's coupled with an Italian boucle` yarn that's mostly merino with a little bit of silk in it. The angora fur band is going to get a heavy bloom on it so while things stay close to your head ontop, they certainly won't around the ears and forehead. An easy comfortable fit for anybody's head with extra warmth and protection for around the ears and forehead. Really nice on.

There are two yarns here but you have to look really closely to see the second one because it's so small. But wow, does it add a lot of depth and richness to Lisa Souza's handspun hand-dyed cashmere yarn called Mars Attacks. The little yarn is a hand-dyed baby merino wool from Uruguay. Lisa's cashmeres are spun from the world's finest fibers and there really is a big difference. I haven't felt anything like this from the stores ever. The commercial spinners start with a lesser grade of cashmere and Lisa goes straight for the top. This could easily become one of your favorite caps because cashmere is just so light and comfortable. I always reach for my cashmere cap first and then take it from there. This yarn is going to bloom up a little giving you something so wonderful that you'll never want to take it off. A classic beanie cap fit and style for your new favorite Pussy Cap.

$120.00 - Cap #8599  Sold
The beautiful deep-sea blues in this yarn are from the imaginarium of Lisa Souza who was a water colorist before she started spinning and dying yarns. As you can see, the subtle movements in her colors and their rich presence in the yarns work perfectly for my Pussy Caps. Here these shimmering blues have been permanently infused into a yarn that Lisa blended from cashmere and merino and then handspun into this heavily textured yarn. In between the rows of the blue I crocheted a thin black merino boucle` that I bought in Italy a few years ago. It adds breathing room to the blue yarn and allows for a kind of subtle ventilation system. You can't see it in the picture but when  stretched just a little there are definite spaces in between the rows of blue. This was by design so as to allow this Pussy Cap some suppleness. It's elegant and soft and if I hadn't told you there was some merino in it you'd have never known because it feels just like pure cashmere. The fit is easy and generous and there is plenty of length to turn up a band if you want one. And wow, it's so amazing on!

$140.00 - Cap #9689  Sold
When it comes to sheep's wool most of it isn't soft enough for wearing next to the skin. But this beautiful handspun, kettle-dyed wool from Uruguay defies that generalization and for a lot of people will feel just fine next to the ears and forehead. There are three rich colors here: gold, red and light brown. They work wonderfully together in alternating rows and there's some breathing space in between the stitches so that your head won't get too warm. It'll keep you warm but allow your head to breathe at the same time. An easy loose fit but a beanie that will nonetheless stay put. It looks really cool on too!

Looking for some color? Well here you go - lots and lots of bright, vivid colors that look like they're being wind-swept all the way up to the top of the cap. This is an amazingly soft millspun merino wool that was handpainted by a fiber artist in upstate New York. Although you can barely see it through all of the color there's an ultra-wide band on this Pussy Cap that virtually makes it double thick for most of your head, insuring warmth and snug comfort. It's got a lot of stretch but it's going to fit close to the head and stay put. A great cap for winter sports or for anyone who just wants to bring some color into an otherwise grey day.

Been getting lots of requests for headbands over the years and I finally got around to making a couple just to see how they'd work. Well, if these first two are any indication, they're going to work out really well. The lighter colored yarn you're seeing here was handspun by Lisa Souza using a blend of naturally colored cashmere and merino wool. I coupled it with another one of Lisa's yarns that's a blend of merino and silk that she painted some amazing shades of blues, greys and tawny tans. Accenting in the center of the headband is a handspun blend of natural colored possum fur, cashmere and merino as well as a natural colored alpaca tweed and a stripe of natural black handspun Chilean angora fur. Pretty darn exotic if you ask me! Five extraordinary yarns went into this lusciously soft and ultra warm headband. The picture doesn't do it justice but lemme tell ya, it's really really nice.

$75.00 - Headband #7560  Sold
The yarn you're seeing lots of here is a luscious blend of handspun cashmere and merino in one of Lisa Souza's signature colorways called Wild Things. It's companion is a thin strand of downy soft baby alpaca that she hand-dyed a pale purple. It tries to hide but in hand you'll be able to quickly pick it out. Accenting in the band is a natural smokey black baby alpaca yarn that was also handspun by Lisa. The softness and substance here is amazing - in your hands and on your head you will marvel at how it feels. The fit and style are classic beanie with plenty of length for pulling the cap down around your ears and onto your eyebrows if that's the way you want to wear it. Everything about this Pussy Cap works and I think it'll make a great addition to your wardrobe.

Cap #9701  Sold
Cashmere has been sought after over the centuries for very good reasons - it's simply one of the most wonderful natural animal fibers on earth. It comes from a variety of different goats, each of whom produces very little of the downy fibers each year. The fibers that Lisa Souza is using for this handspun cashmere are some of the finest on earth and the moment you touch it you'll know why. We're talking something way out in front of the cashmere fibers used in commercial clothing production these days. Here I've coupled the cashmere with a gorgeous Japanese silk ribbon yarn in a warm taupe color. You can hover over the images to see more closeup views of it. The cashmere and the silk of course create a fabric that feels like the word luxury is coming to life in your hands. It's really something. For the band I've taken a handspun angora fur yarn from Lisa Souza as well as a handpainted Bombyx silk, doubled both yarns and then crocheted them as one! This Pussy Cap has an easy fit, a classic style and will quickly make its way to the top of the heap when it comes to your favorite pieces of clothing.

Cap #8625  Sold
Oh yum, this is the good stuff. 100% pure Peruvian alpaca. I took a strand of natural tan baby alpaca and coupled it with a strand of natural colored superfine alpaca in browns and blacks. Between these two alpaca yarns you end up with one of the thickest, warmest, softest and most durable fabrics imaginable. To make sure that your ears and forehead stay toasty warm I continued the magic on up far enough to create a super wide band that can be worn up or down depending on your mood. It's a snug-fitting Pussy Cap - ideal for the slopes or active winter wear. The colors are amazing in the way that only natural colored alpaca colors can be. You'll fall in love...

Cap #7544  Sold
This is one of my Laguna Caps, an original signature style that uses four natural colors of llama all handspun by Marsha Berkemeier with fibers from her herd on her farm in Missouri. These are thick, soft, and silky yarns that I worked up together with a loose crochet for lots of stretch and comfort. Traditional beanie style and fit.

Cap #7526  Sold
For the new Four Corners Pussy Cap Collection I pulled three strands of yarn altogether here and crocheted them as one. Lisa Souza handpainted two of them; a superfine alpaca and a strand of blended baby alpaca and silk. Third strand is a natural grey baby alpaca. It's huge, it's soft, it's thick, it's warm and the colors are deliciously rich and cheerful.

This great big Pussy Cap combines two of my signature styles: Four Corners and my classic Woody Blue yarn. The Four Corners Pussy Caps will go on forever but the Woody Blue yarn has been discontinued and I've almost used up all of my stash. So here you have an old sentimental favorite, my Woody Blue yarn from England that's blended from alpaca & wool alternating with a colorful wool yarn from Germany. Wonderful colors in this whimsical and versatile style combined with lots of softness, warmth and durability will make this cap a great addition to anybody's winter wardrobe.

Cap #7568  Sold
If you're a lover of green here's a wildly soft and fabulous Four Corners Pussy Cap that I crocheted from two great yarns. First up is a lime green blend of angora fur and wool from Peru` that alternates for the length of the entire cap with a stunning Italian boucle` that's blended from merino and silk and dyed to perfection in a subtle olive green. The two greens and the two different styles of yarn really worked well together, making for a cap that's big and lightweight with a wonderful draping crown. Totally wonderful on!

Cap #7541  Sold
I kind of had a feeling when I was playing with the three yarns in this Pussy Cap that they had potential together - but I  never know for sure until I've crocheted a few inches of the cap. My instinct with these three was spot on. The solid grey yarn you're seeing in the pictures is one of my favorites: Northern Mist from Canada that's a blend of qiviut, alpaca and merino all in their natural warm grey colors. Alongside it all the way from top to bottom is a naturally colored Peruvian alpaca tweed in blacks, greys and white with just a hint here and there of a pale tan. Although you really can't see it in the pictures there is a very thin thread of jet-black mohair that gives a slight furriness and lots of shadow to the cap. The resulting fabric is thick and dense and soft and protective. This is for sure a cap for colder days and nights. The style is simple and classic and this Pussy Cap, like most of the others, is fully reversible for a slightly different look each way. Hover over the images to see what I mean by that.

Cap #8630  Sold
Another stunning cashmere beauty, this is Lisa Souza's Painted Desert and it's spun from an extraordinarily soft grade of pure Mongollian cashmere. Look at your monitor from different directions and you might begin to see some of the subtleties of this beautiful yarn. Accenting are three bands of a soft and furry blend of angora fur and merino wool in a burnt golden yellow. I doubled the stitches for these three bands so there's a lot of texture in them that slightly rises above the level of the texture of the rest of the cap. It's beautiful, it's soft, it has a roomy comfortable fit and it looks really nice on.

Cap #7548  Sold
I think you're going to love what's going on here. I took two very different yarns and crocheted them as one and the result is a fabric that's soft, smooth, supple and substantial. (That's 4 Ss in case you lost count.) One strand of the yarn is a natural Peruvian alpaca tweed in natural browns, tans and black. The other is Northern Lights, a smoky black yarn that I had custom spun for me in Canada from equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. It's the kind of cap that will probably spend as much time in your hands as it will on your head because it's just so luscious to the touch. The colors are neutral enough that I can see this working nicely with anybody's coloring. It's a quiet look for sure but at the same time there's an amazing richness and depth in these colors. A classic beanie cap fit and style with classic understated elegance.

Cap #9690  Sold
The stunning golden yarn you're seeing here is 100% pure superfine cashmere, handspun and hand-dyed by Lisa Souza. Its buttery softness is off the charts - there's just something about handspun cashmere that continues to elude my efforts to describe it. I coupled this amazing yarn with a downy soft baby merino wool from Uruguay that was handpainted in some rich shades of red and gold. It's a tiny yarn and a subtle presence but it perfectly matches and compliments the exquisite Mongollian cashmere.  A classic cashmere Pussy Cap that's guaranteed to leave you with the same silly grin on your face that I've always got. Go ahead, buy it, wear it, watch it bloom and see if you can come up with enough superlatives to do it justice.

Cap #8600  Sold
This style of Pussy Cap is getting more and more of my attention these days. I see them on people's heads and I like the way they look. A lot. I also really like the way they look and feel on my head. The look isn't necessarily new but I've given it my own little twist in the way I finish it at the top. Here I've taken two of Lisa Souza's yarns and worked them up as one. Mostly what you're going to see and feel is the handspun blend of cashmere and merino in a colorway called Wild Things. Trying hard to hide inside of it but making its presence known anyway, is a thin strand of baby alpaca yarn that Lisa dyed a beautiful light purple. Accenting in maroon bands throughout the cap and finishing it at the top is my custom Northern Lights yarn that's blended from equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. The colors here are outrageously beautiful, the softness is buttery and the fit is snug and comfortable.

Cap #9691  Sold
I really liked the bright funky coloring in this 100% merino wool yarn from Uruguay. It's soft enough for my head but I wanted to be sure there was no question for anybody else's so I added an inside band of brushed baby alpaca and angora fur just to be sure that it'd be comfortable for the most sensitive skin since it has a tighter fit than most and will be resting snugly against the forehead and ears. This is a long cap with a lot of room at the top if you have a lot of hair you want to shove up in there. It's a warm cap, especially with that black angora/alpaca lining in it. The colors are beautifully crafted and the yarn has a great look and feel to it. Perfect for skiing or boarding or any other winter sports where you want that cap staying on your head.

Cap #8593  Sold
I grew up in Rome and go back often to visit and invariably while I'm there I stop at my favorite yarn shop in the historic district and buy a few skeins of whatever it is that captures my fancy that day. For one of my birthdays that I celebrated in Rome I treated myself to several skeins of Italian cashmere, which of course is pretty much the world's best. For this particular cap I used two different shades of the grey cashmere I bought on that birthday and alternated them with a downy soft natural silver angora fur. It's a subtle if not stunning Pussy Cap that's soft and warm and beautiful on. The combination of cashmere and angora fur is really quite something amazing. This is a medium sized Pussy Cap with lots of stretch that will fit close to the head without squeezing it and come down approximately to the middle of the ears.

Cap #6417  Sold
The whole time I was crocheting this Pussy Cap I kept thinking back to a shirt I had when I was a kid that was blue with black or brown stripes through it. Funny how that works. This is a really great yarn that's as nice to look at and comfortable to wear as it is functional. It's a pure merino wool yarn from Italy that's got a wonderful spiral spin to it and as a result a ton of stretch. Even though it's a wool you have to keep in mind that the Italians really know how to work merino better than anybody on earth and they can make it so soft that it's hardly recognizable anymore as wool. And that's exactly what we have here - really soft, durable and lightweight merino that's going to give you years and years of kickaround wear and look great doing it. Great Pussy Cap for activewear too since it's going to stay put no matter how hard the wind is blowing. The top is gathered and there's plenty of length here to turn up the band or wear it down and tuck your hair into it.

Cap #8662  Sold
Oh yeh, there's a ton of luxurious cashmere in this beautifully colored Pussy Cap. I started with Lisa Souza's natural ivory handspun cashmere (the best of the best) and coupled it with a high-twist merino from South America that has some really beautiful subtle handpainted colors in it. The resulting fabric is deliriously soft and thick and when the cashmere starts blooming up, which it will do shortly after you start wearing it, oh la la, watch out! Handspun cashmere knows how to put on a show and this baby is going to deliver the goods. Accenting in the simple band is a natural espresso brown llama yarn that was spun for me by Marsha Berkemeier with fibers from her herd of llamas in Missouri. A classic beanie cap style with an easy fit that will leave you no choice but to fall head over heels in love.

Cap #8601  Sold
This might appear to be a rather simple Pussy Cap at first glance but in reality it's going to change significantly over time. The silvery yarn you see in the picture is pure angora fur in its natural silvery-grey color and it will over time and with a couple of wearings bloom up and create a wonderful halo both on the inside and the outside of the cap. Its companion here is a Peruvian alpaca tweed yarn in several of its natural colors that is one of my Pussy Cap staples and one of my all-time favorite yarns. It's strong and durable yet has an amazing smoothness and softness as well as the exceptional warmth that alpaca is known for. The combination here of the pure angora fur yarn and the alpaca tweed has made for a Pussy Cap that is extraordinarily warm and comfortable. Accenting in the border is a baby alpaca yarn in its natural color that was handspun by Lisa Souza. So from top to bottom the colors and the fibers are all natural, making for a classic style beanie cap with all of the myriad things that make Pussy Caps so unique and wonderful.

Cap #8675  Sold
Four sensational yarns got together here for what will become a very furry and beautiful Pussy Cap. First is my unique and much-loved pure white Samoyed fur yarn from Canada that's eventually going to bloom up a storm in this cap. Next up is a handpainted strand of golden baby alpaca & silk from Lisa Souza. And finally, a strand of natural brown superfine alpaca yarn from Peru`. Accenting in the bands is a natural espresso brown llama yarn that was handspun for me by Marsha Berkemeier with fibers from her herd of llamas in Missouri. The cap is long at the top with lots of room for lots of hair if that's what you want to put up there. Otherwise you can just let it drape at the crown and that's a very cool look. This is a winter cap with more warmth than you'll ever know what to do with. The coloring and style and softness and fit are all just perfect. Something really special from Pussy Cap Land!

Cap #8596  Sold
This particular style of Pussy Cap takes a lot longer to make because I use a smaller hook for it and consequently there's more than twice as many stitches as in a regular Pussy Cap. So when I choose to do a cap like this I make sure the yarns are really worth the extra time to work them up. Here I've chosen a pair of yarns that are simply top drawer. The first and most obvious yarn is a Canadian rarity blended from equal parts qiviut, alpaca and merino, all in their natural colors. The yarn is called Northern Mist and is limited to my stash on hand as it's becoming increasingly difficult if not impossible for my suppliers to get the qiviut needed to make it. Accompanying the Northern Mist throughout the cap is a tiny strand of South American baby merino wool that's handspun and then hand-dyed in this soft and subtle pallet of rusts and pale olive greens. Don't be fooled by the word wool because this yarn is so soft that it completely blends into the exquisite qiviut based yarn here. I finished this Pussy Cap off in the four corners style but it isn't really a signature Four Corners cap because it lacks the huge turned-up band. There is enough length here though for a small turned up band if you want one, otherwise the cap can be worn long at the crown with a slight drape. This is a beautiful, simple and truly wonderful Pussy Cap that will give you years and years of warmth, durability and subtle good looks. Roll your cursor over the images for more views.

Cap #8667  Sold
From top to bottom this beautifully colored Pussy Cap is pure merino wool. I know the word wool scares a lot of people and sometimes it can scare me too. But two of the three strands of yarn here are baby merino and the third is a really nice Italian merino in gold that has a rope like twist to it and is totally soft enough for wearing next to the skin. Hover over the images for more views. The two baby merino yarns feel a lot like cashmere to the touch. One of them is hand-dyed in subtle shades of olive green and the other in a brickish red that changes tones slightly along its length. Together these three yarns, that I worked up on a small hook, have created a dense Pussy Cap fabric that is super stretchy and would be ideal for highly activewear like boarding or skiing because it's on it's going to stay on. The cap is long so there's plenty of room for a generous turned up band or worn as shown there's lots of room to stuff hair up inside there. Gathered at the top instead of rounded this is a Pussy Cap that gives you alternatives while being soft, durable and beautful on.

Cap #8666  Sold
The colorful yarn you're looking at here caught my eye in a yarn shop awhile back and I didn't even have to think twice about it - it was in my hands and on the checkout counter without a moment's hesitation. Yeh, it's that nice. And guess what? It's mostly merino wool with a little bit of nylon added for strength. Usually these ribbon yarns are made out of mostly artificial fibers and so I just have to say no to them. But not this time. This baby is handpainted and in reality the colors are more subtle than the photo allows. Accompanying the ribbon yarn throughout the cap is a handsome black boucle` yarn from Italy that's blended from soft merino wool and silk. Together they've created a very thick fabric and a great big comfortable Pussy Cap that's fully reversible and warm and soft and great looking on.

Cap #8617  Sold
The richness of the colors here would be enough on their own to make this Pussy Cap a winner. But the luscious yarns here take us beyond just good looks and right on into the heart of softness, warmth and durability. The body of the cap has four different yarns all crocheted together as one. They include baby alpaca and silk from New Zealand, superfine Peruvian alpaca tweed and baby merino from South America. The result is a luxuriously thick fabric that's buttery-soft to the touch and beautiful to look at. Accenting in the double bands is a handspun alpaca yarn from Lisa Souza in its natural espresso brown. A traditional beanie cap fit and style that is so so soft and handsome on.

Cap #8680  Sold
Natural tan baby alpaca gives us the ultra soft base for this Pussy Cap. One of the tan yarns is handspun here in the states from domestic alpaca herds and the other is commercially spun in Peru`. Both are the identical color while each brings something unique to the texture of the fabric. Joining the alpaca is a soft merino wool that's been hand-dyed a variety of different colors. This is a roomy cap with a thick fabric that'll hold its shape nicely and last forever. And of course it's wonderfully soft and very very warm.

Cap #9705  Sold
I combined two really nice merino wool yarns for the body of this Pussy Cap - the first is a dark purple/aubergine color that has a really nice spin and loft to it. And wow, it's amazingly soft. Joining it throughout the cap is a subtlely colored handpainted merino from South America that I picked up somewhere in my travels last year. Been hanging onto it to find just the right yarn to pair it with and finally found it in this purple merino. The accent band is so nice - there are three handpainted silk yarns all worked up as one and double stitched. I believe two of the three are from Lisa Souza who of course does amazing work with color on these lustrous Bombyx silk yarns. It's a classic beanie cap style and fit with lots of room for wearing it low to the eyes and below the ears. Hover over the images to see more views.

The body of this Pussy Cap is crocheted with three very different yarns but in looking at it they blend in so nicely together that you'd barely know it. The first is a Peruvian superfine alpaca tweed yarn in three of its natural colors. Next is a strand of soft German wool in subtle wood tones and finally a thin strand of South American baby merino hand-dyed in a pallet of rusts, browns and pale pinks. Together they made for a thick, soft fabric that's accented by a beautiful band of natural espresso brown alpaca yarn that was handspun by Lisa Souza. The rich brown tones and the warm soft yarns all make for a beautiful Pussy Cap that's classic in its style and easy in its fit.
