The colorful yarn you're seeing here is a stunning ribbon yarn made from pure merino wool. It was handpainted by Colinette in Wales whose yarns I have long admired but seldom used because of the artificial fiber content. But here finally is a truly beautiful yarn that fulfills all of my criteria for a Pussy Cap yarn; it's soft, the colors are beautiful and the fibers are natural. To keep the cap from getting too heavy or thick I alternated rows with a feathery soft and oh so light brushed baby alpaca in lime. It worked and out of it all came this really wonderful Pussy Cap that's big and soft and comfy and sensational on.

Cap #8670  Sold
I was having a little fun here with colors that I've never combined before. For a foundation I started with a Pussy Cap exclusive in smokey black from the Northern Lights collection. It's a blend of equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. From there we have a really nice golden merino yarn with a rope like twist to it that really stands out here against the other yarns. And finally we have a very thin sky blue merino yarn that I found in an antique shop. From the label on the spool it looked to be from the 1940s or so. The three yarns all crocheted together created a soft, subtle and classic styled beanie cap that I think has dozens of years of wear in it and that will with time become even softer and more comfortable than it is now. The reason for that is that the angora fur in the black yarn will start to bloom and pretty soon that's almost exclusively what you're going to feel. Sized right with lots of stretch for anybody's head this is both a warm and a functional Pussy Cap with a great look and feel to it.

Cap #8676  Sold
Oh yeh, I've been dreaming of how to describe the softness of this Pussy Cap ever since I first started working on it. Competing for Softness Of The Year Award is a natural dove-grey baby alpaca from Peru` and a black millspun angora fur from France. I think the award will have to be split between both contenders - there's no way to choose one over the other here when it comes to softness. The fabric created by these two yarns is not only soft but it's lightweight and has a wonderful drape to it - it will feel like a cloud on your head. It's baby alpaca and angora fur though, so this is going to be a very warm cap. Pure indulgence, no way around it. This is a smaller cap for sure - would make a wonderful gift for someone with a shaved or hairless head.

Cap #6442  Sold
Here's a first: a Pussy Cap and matching Pussy Tail for sale together on the website. I usually only do Pussy Tails on a custom order basis but I got a wild hair up my you know what and decided to just do one for fun and offer it for sale here. So here it is: a luscious combination of natural silver, black & white superfine tweed alpaca that's coupled with a lavender, hand-dyed baby alpaca/silk blend from Lisa Souza. The lavender is muted and soft but most definitely there and just snuggles right into the silver tweed and becomes one with it. It's also what I used to trim both the cap and the tail. This is a beautiful set - way more than soft enough for wrapping around your neck and for pulling down low around your ears and forehead. The cap is a traditional beanie fit and style with plenty of room for any sized head. Smart, soft and wonderful on. Roll your cursor over the images for more views.

Cap & Tail #7488  Sold
I had a ton of fun creating this Pussy Cap - there are four thin yarns crocheted together as one for the body and in concert they've made for a thick, squishy and very very soft fabric that translates into a beanie cap that'll last at least as long as you do and look great doing it. The four yarns in the body consist of a Japanese cashmere/silk yarn in olive green, a Canadian Koigu merino in brown, a Canadian yarn that's a blend of qiviut, alpaca & merino in natural grey and finally a German wool yarn in brown, orange and tan. Accenting in the band is a natural espresso brown alpaca yarn that was handspun for me by Marsha Berkemeier of Missouri with fibers from one of her alpacas. This is a great big Pussy Cap for those who like their caps on the bigger side. The colors, the textures and the softness of the yarns all work together to give you something pretty wonderful.

Cap #8626  Sold
Lisa Souza's handspun Mongollian cashmere is quite possibly one of the most amazing yarns I've ever held in my hands. There's no way to exaggerate how wonderful it is. I've been in love with cashmere for a long time and the natural colored fibers that Lisa is spinning this yarn from are redefining my whole love affair with the stuff. For the body of this cap I coupled the cashmere with a lusciously soft yarn from Canada that's blended from equal parts qiviut, alpaca and merino - all in their natural warm grey colors. It's a perfect companion for the cashmere; softness and comfort that are simply off the charts. Accenting in the band are two rows of a Peruvian superfine alpaca tweed whose colors are natural and as you can see perfectly match the other yarns. A classic style beanie cap with an easy fit and lots of length and stretch to fit anybody's head. I'll tell you, this is easily one of the nicest Pussy Caps in the collection at the moment. Hover over the images for more views.

Cap #8624  Sold
Two beautiful aubergine alpaca yarns here in alternating rows. First up is a featherweight brushed Peruvian baby alpaca, the furrier of the two and the other is a milllspun blend of baby alpaca & silk, also from Peru`. The colors, weight and style of the two yarns compliment each other perfectly and together they've created a very soft and lightweight fabric that could quite possibly work in just about any weather. It's an easy fit, delightfully soft and has a lot of stretch to comfortably fit any size head. For softness and comfort, baby alpaca just can't be beat.

Cap #7522-Sold
Wearing this all white Pussy Cap will make you feel like you're in a dream. For the body of the cap I crocheted together two strands of pure Peruvian superfine alpaca in natural white, creating a wonderfully supple fabric that's as soft and warm as it is durable and practical. With seven times the warmth of wool, alpaca is a great choice for cold winter days & nights. Three bands of double-crocheted brushed Italian cashmere in matching white are placed so that they'll snuggle your forehead and ears with the downiest softness imaginable. With a generous, comfortable fit for any size head and enough softness even for a shaved head, this is one really wonderful Pussy Cap that'll last you for a long long time.

Handmade Crocheted Hats and Beanies from Pussy Cap
Handmade Crocheted Hats and Beanies from Pussy Cap
Lots and lots of alpaca here in this thick and lusciously soft Pussy Cap. I took two strands of Peruvian alpaca in brown and tan and added to them a third strand of silk & merino that Lisa Souza hand-dyed a lustrous gold. The result is extraordinary thickness, softness and warmth. Accenting is a band of handspun alpaca in its natural dark brown that looks a lot like the color of roasted espresso beans. Since alpaca is many times warmer than wool this is a beanie that'll for sure keep your head warm no matter how cold the weather. A perfect fit for a classice beanie cap look.

Cap #306  Sold
An angora fur sweater on a curvy coed has probably launched more fantasies that Hugh Hefner ever dreamed of. And you know, angora fur has earned every single one of those fantasies because what it does when it starts to bloom is just so frickin amazing. You just wanna touch it, you can't help yourself. You restrain, but eventually the angora wins out and you succumb. Here I've combined a natural white angora fur yarn that was handspun by Lisa Souza with a Peruvian alpaca tweed yarn in natural black, taupe and white. Accenting in the double-striped band is another variation of the wonderful Peruvian alpaca tweed. This subtle stunner of a Pussy Cap is gonna bloom, oh yes indeed. And when it does you're gonna flip because it just keeps getting more and more beautiful every step of the way. The alpaca yarn will try and keep things reined in but ultimately the angora fur will win and just bust out all over the place. A big, easy-fitting Pussy Cap with a classic beanie style, otherworldly softness, incomparable warmth and everything else that angora fur is famous for. Wanna be touched? Wear this cap...

Cap #8618  Sold
This subtly colored earthoned Pussy Cap uses three strands of the famous Koigu Merino wool, hand-painted by Maie & Taiu Landra of Ontario, Canada. Thick, stretchy and soft this Koigu Pussy Cap has a snug fit with a good stretch, lots of thickness and the softness and durability that Koigu Merino is known for.

Cap #7527  Sold
So many wonderful yarns going on here that it's almost impossible to explain what each is and where it appears. So let's just make it easy and say that you have a lot of angora fur and merino and cashmere and silk and baby alpaca here. The colors are lavender, purple and black with a few other subtle colors showing up here and there. The turned up band is angora fur and as you can see it's already started to bloom and do its thing, which it will continue doing the more you wear it. A soft, thick fabric in an easy-fitting Pussy Cap for someone who just can't get enough purple!

Cap #8605  Sold
This newest addition to the Four Corners collection is crocheted from two very different yarns that ended up working out very nicely together. First is a blue millspun yarn from Peru` that's 100% pure baby alpaca and coupled with it throughout the cap is a buttonspun wool yarn from Uruguay that was handspun by the ladies of a small village co-op. The cap is trimmed out in jet black mohair and merino, both from Italy. This is a big, soft Pussy Cap with sensational colors, a really nice fit and tons of warmth for the cold winter days ahead.

Cap #7565  Sold
Light and easy: a black merino wool boucle` from Italy is coupled with a domestic handpainted wool and together they've made a fabric that's probably light enough to be worn almost year round. And still, it's warm enough for winter, that's for sure. Very very soft with a nice stretch and an easy fit for any size head. There's enough length here for a turned up band if you want one or you can wear it pulled down low to the eyes and below the ears.

Cap #7428  Sold
In concert with some talented Canadian yarnmakers I came up with this luxurious new yarn that's exclusive to Pussy Cap and is blended from equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. This particular cap is crocheted completely from this new Northern Lights yarn and is presented here in a sensual smokey black. I've kept the pictures a little lighter than they should be so you can see the stitches in the yarn, which is usually impossible in an all black cap. To make it extra thick and protective I doubled the yarn which created a substantial and luxurious fabric - something which will become obvious to you the second you first touch it. It's simple, it's black and it's got a big turned up band, which of course will provide exceptional protection for your ears and forehead. Or you can turn the band down and have a long draping Pussy Cap that I happen to think looks super cool. Either way the fit will be comfortable and cozy and the feeling of sensuous softness will find you sleeping in it at night. Oh yeh, it's that's good.

Cap #8664  Sold
Three richly colored yarns all got together here for a blending of earthen and oceanic colors that cover a spectrum from subtle all the way to spectacular. There is a golden yarn hand-dyed yarn by Lisa Souza that's a blend of baby alpaca and silk. Then there's a very colorful wool yarn from Germany and finally a naturally colored Peruvian tweed yarn spun from the superfine fibers of Andean alpaca. This Pussy Cap is thick and substantial but it hangs onto its softness and suppleness without missing a beat. A classic beanie cap fit and style - handsome, warm and comfortable on.

Cap #8658  Sold
This beautifully textured Pussy Cap is a result of a pairing of two unique Canadian yarns. As it started to unfold I thought for sure it was going to end up in my personal collection because I was liking it so much. (How many caps does a cap maker need if a cap maker could need caps?) The smokey black yarn you're seeing here is a Pussy Cap exclusive and is blended from equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. I wanted something luxurious in a millspun yarn and this is what I came up with. And wow, it works! Coupled with it throughout the cap, and proving itself to be a really great companion, is this extraordinary merino wool yarn called Koigu that I've been using in my Pussy Caps almost since day one. It's hand-dyed by the mother and daughter team of Maie & Taiu Landra of Ontario and in my opinion is one of the nicest and most versatile merinos on the market. The color is a true teal so depending on your monitor's color balance that may or may not be obvious. But a true teal it is and it's absolutely gorgeous with the smokey black Northern Lights yarn as a companion. As the angora fur in the black yarn starts to bloom you'll notice the cap getting softer and furrier and the teal ever so slightly more subtle. Thanks to the Koigu merino though, this Pussy Cap will never stretch out but stay just like it is for a long long time. It's a classic beanie cap fit and style for any size head. And it's warm and soft and feels just wonderful on.

Cap #8668  Sold
Green and blue can sometimes be a little tricky together but I think the yarns in this Pussy Cap worked out really well together because the greens are actually more on the teal side of the spectrum. For the body of this big cap I combined a strand of light blue Peruvian baby alpaca, a strand of Canadian Koigu handpainted merino in teal and a strand of a rare Canadian yarn that's blended from qiviut, alpaca and merino, all in their natural warm grey colors. Yeh, it's a lot of yarn all working together for the common good - but not to be outdone the band boasts a luscious partnering of cashmere, baby alpaca, angora fur, silk, wool and merino! I finished it all off with a Four Corners top that's accented with the same wonderful grey angora fur & wool yarn that's in the band. The fit is big & easy, the cap is tall and meant to be worn with a nice drape at the crown. And of course, because it's a Pussy Cap it's soft and warm and a ton of fun to wear.

Cap #8623  Sold
When I first started making Pussy Caps I kind of had it in my mind that angora fur was for girls. Oh man, was I wrong about that as it seems that the majority of my angora fur Pussy Caps have gone to guys. Hey, if you've got a shaved head there's nothing more wonderful you can put on it, (almost) than an angora fur Pussy Cap. (Don't make me go there because you know I will.) I started with a strand of natural silver angora fur that was handspun for me by Kristen Worthington and to it I added this gorgeous silk & wool yarn from Japan that transitions beautifully from one subtle color to another all the way to the top of the cap. It's a long cap with a gathered top - you can wear a turned up band or let the top of the cap drape at the crown of your head. It's beautiful either way. The angora fur will bloom up like crazy creating a most sensational fur cap that you'll love wearing for lots and lots of years. Super warm, super soft and super beautiful!

Cap #8592  Sold
This is a natural smokey black baby alpaca yarn that was handspun by California fiber artist Lisa Souza and is one of my favorite yarns that comes from her spinning wheel. Each shearing from each animal is of course a little different so even though there have been other black baby alpaca Pussy Caps in the collection before, none of them will have looked like this one. You can see some of the greyish and almost brownish fibers from the alpaca's coat if you look real closely. This yarn has been spun with a nice thickness to it and with a few wearings it will begin to fluff up a little and get a bloom on it, closing in the spaces between the stitches and making for a superbly warm winter Pussy Cap. These black baby alpaca Pussy Caps are rare in the collection and unique enough that I'm considering giving them signature status. Softness, warmth, durability and rareness of the yarn all make for an easy fitting Pussy Cap that's likely to become one of your favorite pieces of clothing.

Cap #8678  Sold
Somebody is going to get very lucky with this fabulous alpaca Pussy Cap because this is the last of this beautiful baby alpaca boucle` yarn from Italy. I coupled it here with a really wonderful superfine alpaca yarn from Peru` that's blended from three natural shades of alpaca fibers. It matches the baby alpaca yarn perfectly and together they've created a fabric that's a wonderland of softness, warmth and indulgent beauty. The cap is big and roomy but because of the nature of the boucle` yarn it'll hold its shape and size nicely for many years. Easily one of the nicest Pussy Caps ever in the entire collection - something about these two yarns is just magical.

$140.00 - Cap #8677  Sold
I only got enough of this beautiful yarn to make one full Pussy Cap out of it, so this is it. This is one of Lisa Souza's handspun, hand-dyed yarns in her famous colorway called Joseph's Coat. You've seen it before here in cashmere but this one is spun from a very high grade of merino wool so it's a totally different feel of course than the cashmere. I did it up in my signature Four Corners style and accented it with a coal-black yarn from Peru` that's spun from baby alpaca and silk. But wait, there's more! All the way through the cap I coupled the colorful merino with one of Lisa's hand-dyed silk yarns in a rich garnet red. You can't see it in the pictures very well but in your hand and on your head the garnet silk is totally obvious. It's a great Pussy Cap with a ton of color as well as softness and durability. These puppies are so much fun to wear - you really outta, yes indeed...

$140.00 - Cap #7555  Sold
This is one of my new Pussy Cap Nekkers. Basically it's a tube that you can pull down over your head and wear around your neck like a scarf or a big collar. This particular Nekker is crocheted from two beautiful boucle` yarns from Italy. The white one is mostly baby alpaca wrapped around a wool and nylon core. The black yarn is a blend of merino & silk. Both are wildly soft and smooth and perfect for wearing next to the sensitive skin of the neck. Nekkers can be worn in lots of different ways as you can see in the pictures, so you're limited only by your imagination. Roll your cursor over the images for more views.

$120.00 - Nekker #8685N  Sold
I've combined lots of greys, whites and blackz before but I don't think any of them have been quite this nice. The white yarn is my signature Samoyed sled dog fur, millspun in Canada on Prince Edward Island. This spectacular yarn loves to fluff up and put on a high-bloom show! Coupled with it throughout the cap is a super soft pure alpaca yarn from Peru` that's blended from natural grey, white and black fibers. Accenting in the band is an Italian boucle` yarn blended from silk and mohair. It's thick, lotsa thick and it's warm, lotsa that too. But more than anything, it's soft. And it looks great on and fits comfortably like a beanie cap should. Only this isn't just a beanie cap, is it...

$120.00 - Cap #8652-5
An ethereal dove-grey angora fur from Linda Jacobs that she handspun with a little bit of wool, alternates with a shimmering Bombyx silk that Lisa Souza handpainted a rich garnet red. This extraordinary combination of natural fibers makes for a sensuously soft Pussy Cap that has an elegant drape and an easy fit. As you can see the angora fur has already started to bloom and will continue to do so with each wearing. This is one of those caps that will spend as much time in your hands as on your head.

$120.00   Cap #23  Sold
Two strands of superfine alpaca yarn, one black and one tan, combined with a strand of handpainted Bombyx silk make for a really luscious feeling Pussy cap that's super thick and super warm and super comfortable on. I was surprised when it was finished to realize how much the strand of silk adds to the overall feel of this cap - it gives it a little bit of a drape without losing shape. The colors are rich and subtle and this Pussy Cap will fit comfortably on any sized head. Don't be fooled by subtlety - this is a really special cap unlike anything I've ever done before. Its magic is in its softness, warmth and durability. Color is just an added bonus.

Cap #7483  Sold
This spectacularly colored Four Corners Pussy Cap is crocheted from two perfectly mated yarns. All that wild color you're seeing is a luscious blend of brushed wool, kid mohair and silk from the Noro yarnmakers of Japan. Some of the nicest colors I've yet seen in a yarn. Coupled with it throughout the cap is a strand of Canadian Koigu merino wool from the mother/daughter team of Maia and Taie Landra of Ontario. Big and thick and dense and yet not too heavy, this winner is beautiful and comfortable and totally sensational on.

$140.00 - Cap #FCPC6  Sold
This is my signature Wave Pussy Cap - the very first signature style that I created back about five years ago when I first got started doing beanies. It's a simple pattern that's intended to echo the waves of the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Southern California. Here I've chosen two great yarns that I think look really nice together. Starting out we have a natural white angora fur yarn that was handspun by Lisa Souza. I doubled the yarn for extra thickness, warmth and bloom - and wow is it amazing! The scintillating blue is a millspun blend of angora fur, merino wool and a bit of nylon. Lisa Souza hand-dyed this yarn in these beautiful gem-like shades of blue. Definitely a Pussy Cap for colder weather and of course it's way soft enough for a shaved head or the most sensitive skin. Beautiful colors, beautiful yarns, a really nice fit and a great look on in this classic Wave Pussy Cap.

$120.00 - Cap #8581  Sold
I'm always experimenting with new ideas and patterns and this is one of my latest adventures. For the body of the cap I've used Lisa Souza's outrageously beautiful Olive Tones yarn that's a blend of angora fur, merino wool and a bit of nylon. It's a thick, substantial yarn that's amazingly soft and super warm. But wait! Just for the hell of it I coupled that yarn with a strand of pure Peruvian alpaca in a superfine tweed. Kind of hard to see it in the picture but boy oh buy it is there and boy oh boy does it make a difference. For an accent I doubled up a beautiful handspun llama yarn in its natural espresso brown and used it in the band and at the crown of the cap. Marsha Berkemeier handspun this rare llama yarn for me with fibers from her herd in Missouri. It's a big cap, a thick cap and a densely crocheted cap so that no matter how cold it is outside your head is going to be warm with this Pussy Cap on it. Got a big head? Here's your beanie cap. Got sensitive skin? Here's your beanie cap. Wanna stay warm while you're cruising the antarctic with the penguins? Here's your beanie cap. I'm holding the line at a hundred dollars because I want you to have it!

$100.00 - Cap #8582  Sold
I did it again - I made another one of these because I just couldn't help myself. This swirling style takes forever to crochet but the end result is so beautiful that I think I've decided it's worth doing. This special Pussy cap is crocheted from 100% superfine Peruvian alpaca in two of its natural black and tan colors. Roll your cursor over the images for more views. It fits beautifully, looks amazing on and is thick, warm, soft and will last pretty much forever. What more could you want in a beanie cap?

$200.00 - Cap #7500  Sold
Ah yes, dazzling white and beyond soft is this wintery snow storm of a Pussy Cap that combines two lusciously soft yarns; a natural white pure angora fur that was handspun by Oregonian Gayle Paige and a natural white Australian yarn that was marked merino wool but totally feels like royal cashmere. Uh huh, you read that right: royal cashmere. I think the yarn was tagged wrong because in my hand I keep swearing it's cashmere. I'm selling it as merino but I swear to you I think it's cashmere. In any event, this is a snug fitting Pussy Cap that's deliciously soft and drapey and will bloom up a storm after a couple of wearings. Gathered at the top, it's a stunner on.

$120.00 - Cap #7537  Sold
Three amazing yarns have gone into this beautiful Pussy Cap. The smokey black yarn and the maroon yarn are both Pussy Cap exclusives from the Northern Lights collection and are blended from equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. No matter which way you slice it they're the essence of luxury and indulgence. The third yarn accompanying them throughout the cap is a very thin baby merino wool from South America that was hand-dyed and that's where the tiny flecks of lighter colors are coming from. All three of these yarns crocheted together have created an exceptionally thick and downy soft Pussy Cap that will with a few wearings begin to show a halo as the angora fur starts to bloom. The style is classic beanie cap and the fit is comfortable with lots of length for wearing low to the eyes and below the ears. Beautiful colors, amazing softness and a ton of warmth for your coldest winter days.

$140.00 - Cap #8672  Sold
It just doesn't get much more Pussy Cap than this beauty that's crocheted from two really nice yarns. First up is a natural colored handspun angora fur yarn in blacks, greys and silvery whites. The fur is exceptionally long so there'll be a substantial bloom to it with just a couple of wearings and in fact you can already see it starting here. Accompanying it throughout the cap is a Pussy Cap exclusive from Canada called Northern Lights that's blended from equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. It's the most perfect companion for the angora fur yarn imaginable. They both just kind of disappear into each other and in the process create this fabulously soft and supple fabric that will feel like heaven on your head. Angora fur is approximately 8 to 10 times warmer than wool so this is definitely a cap for the coldest winter days. A simple and classic beanie cap style but with an extraordinary fur cap hiding in its future. Once it blooms you'll know...

$140.00 - Cap #8674  Sold
One of my signature styles is this Four Corners Pussy Cap that's typified by a very long body with a huge turned up band and a top that's finished in a four way pattern and trimmed with a contrasting yarn from the cap. The Four Corners caps are fabulous on and really versatile too. Band up or down, crown worn long and draping or squished up on the head in a variety of different shapes. No matter how you wear them though the Four Corners Pussy Caps have that unmistakable Cat In The Hat look to them. Here I've taken two color variations of an Italian boucle` yarn that's spun from baby alpaca and created bands that are separated by one of Lisa Souza's handspun baby alpaca yarns. The colors are all natural here, which is one of the things I love about alpaca; 22 gorgeous natural colors to play with. The fit is comfy and big but because of the yarns it won't stretch out and get sloppy. I've left long strands of the handspun baby alpaca because I think they're kind of cool when they start to dread, but if you prefer not to have them you can just pull them through and they'll disappear on the inside where only your hair has to see them. This is a really great Pussy Cap with a lot of personality, extraordinary softness and a ton of warmth for the coldest of winters.

$140.00 - Cap #8665  Sold
For the body of this beautifully colored Pussy Cap I took three soft yarns and crocheted them together as if they were one. First up is a natural grey yarn from Canada that's blended from qiviut, alpaca and merino, all in their natural colors. Accompanying it throughout is a strand of olive green baby merino from Uruguay and a strand of merino wool and nylon from Italy in muted gold. Accenting in the band is a green boucle` yarn from Italy that's blended from merino wool & silk. Luxurious and soft to the touch, this is a beautiful cap with what I think are extraordinary colors because of their subtle presence. A classic style beanie with lots of length and an easy comfortable fit.

$100.00 - Cap #8650  Sold
I love the subtlety of the colors here - a stunning mohair/silk/wool blend from Japan whose cool-spectrum colors move imperceptibly from one to the next all the way to the top of the cap. Coupled with this yarn is an ultra-soft Peruvian tweed alpaca in shimmering greys, blacks and whites. The combination of these two yarns is amazing and you kind of have to have it in your hands in good light to appreciate what's really going on. A perfect Pussy Cap for somebody who wants a more subtle look but exotic all the same. A good traditional beanie cap fit with lots of length for keeping your ears and forehead warm.

$100.00 - Cap #7493  Sold
Man oh man are you going to love the softness of this Pussy Cap. The maroon yarn is a Pussy Cap exclusive from the Northern Lights collection and is a blend of equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. All three fibers contribute something special to the yarn and they all work beautifully in concert with each other. Coupled with the Bitteroot yarn is a naturally colored Peruvian alpaca tweed yarn that creates a really nice contrast with its companion. I created the accent band here using the same two yarns with each featured on its own instead of together. This Pussy Cap is roomy and comfortable and with time you'll have a little bit of a halo going on because of the angora fur, which will only make it softer and more beautiful.

$120.00 - Cap #8679  Sold
I recently got this wonderful natural colored yarn called Northern Mist from my pals on Prince Edward Island in Canada. Everybody knows by now that I love Qiviut but very little of it is available on the open market anymore. (grrrr...) What there is is overpriced so I've had to just bite the bullet and hope that soon it'll become available again. In the meantime there's this wonderful yarn that's blended from equal parts Qiviut, alpaca and merino wool, all in their natural colors. What I feel immediately when I touch this yarn is the unmistakable presence of Qiviut - its softness and smoothness dominates. I crocheted three strands of it together as one and it has made for a lofty luxurious fabric that will keep you warm and comfortable and smiling. Accenting in the band are two rows of a beautifully colored merino wool ribbon yarn that was handpainted by Collinette of Wales, England. This is a classic beanie cap style with an easy fit crocheted from luxurious top-drawer yarns.

$120.00 - Cap #8602  Sold
The blue field of this Pussy Cap is crocheted from two very different yarns but you'll probably only be able to see one of them; the brushed baby alpaca. Nestled down into the baby alpaca however is a beautiful royal blue yarn that's a blend of merino and cotton and that adds a subtle sheen to the fabric. Accenting in the band is a white brushed Italian cashmere that's accompanied by a shimmering white yarn that's blended from rayon, nylon and cotton.  Beautiful blues here with extraordinary softness because of the brushed baby alpaca and brushed cashmere. A classic beanie cap style with a generous fit and luxurious softness.

$100.00 - Cap #8653  Sold
This is a great Pussy Cap for somebody who wants more subtlety in the look without sacrificing all of that good stuff that makes Pussy Caps so unique. For the body of the cap I chose two great yarns and crocheted them together as if they were one. The first is a naturally colored light tan yarn from Canada called Northern Mist that's blended from equal parts qiviut, alpaca and merino. Truly an amazing yarn and one of my all-time favorites because of the astounding softness of the qiviut in it that really shines through. Its companion is a yarn that's blended from baby alpaca & silk and was hand-dyed in this rich Mahogany colorway by Lisa Souza, who also spun the natural espresso brown alpaca yarn in the band. Thick, soft, subtle and warm with a rich pallet of wood and earthtones, this is a quiet beauty of a beanie with a classic style and easy fit.

The red and tan yarns that you're seeing in this cap are a blend of alpaca & wool from England. The yarn is thick and soft and warm and radically wonderful for beanie caps. Sadly, the yarn has been discontinued and I'm rapidly using up the stash that I've been holding onto for so long. Accenting in the divider bands are a strand of black cashmere, a strand of black brushed baby alpaca and a strand of black mohair, all crocheted as one. Yum. This is a classic style beanie cap with lots of comfort for anybody's head no matter how big or small or average. One of my very first Pussy Caps was made from this yarn and believe it or not I still have it. Left it on the beach one day, someone found it and put it on a rock so I'd find it. Very cool. I think this yarn carries super good vibes. Going going gone...
