Three distinctly beautiful yarns went into this Pussy Cap. Pulled along together as if they were one strand are: natural brown superfine alpaca, a coffee dyed pure cashmere and a luscious golden thread of wool from Uruguay. The band is trimmed in the golden Uruguayan wool. This cap can be worn with the band turned up or down and it looks beautiful either way. An easy fit but one that won't get sloppy with wear because of the high quality of these natural animal-fibered yarns. Warmth, softness and some really beautiful colors make this Pussy Cap a winner.

11888-Sold
This is such a luscious Pussy Cap that I almost kept it for my personal collection. The white yarn is a downy soft baby alpaca from Peru` and it's joined by a gorgeous golden handspun wool from Uruguay. There is a ton of squishy softness and loft here and a big rolled up band that adds just that much more warmth and protection for the ears and forehead. The fit is snug and comfortable and this is definitely a cap for the colder days of winter. Alpaca is 7 to 8 times warmer than wool and you'll really feel it here in the dulce de leche inspired Pussy Cap.

11892-Sold
The look here might be subtle but the luxuriously soft yarns are anything but when they're covering your head and ears. I chose three different yarns and crocheted them together as one for the body of the cap. The first is a blend of qiviut & merino, the second a blend of ramie & angora fur and the third is a blend of cashmere & yak down. This is truly one of those caps that has to be felt to be believed; the softness is otherworldly. Accenting in the band is a natural black baby alpaca yarn that sets off the contrasting pattern. Softness and warmth from some of the world's rarest and finest natural animal fibers make this Pussy Cap something very special. An easy fit for any size head with plenty of length to keep your forehead and ears well covered.

Cap #11898-Sold
One of the most amazing yarns I've ever found is this angora fur from India. Although it's hard to imagine it, the pinkish-coral color you're seeing is natural and a result of spinning the angora fur with an Australian baby merino, also in its natural color. Adding to its richness is a natural brown Peruvian Alpaca yarn that continues for the length of the cap. This Pussy Cap has a lot of stretch for anyone's head but will retain its shape nicely over the years. It's a little lighter in weight and so will be nice for year round comfort when the temperatures drop a little in the evenings. Simple, luxurious and beautiful on.

The body of this cap has been crocheted from three beautiful white yarns crocheted together as one. The first is a natural white alpaca from Peru`, the second is a shimmering strand of highly textured silk and rayon and the third is a tiny thread of kid mohair. Together these three yarns make for a substantial and wonderfully warm fabric that will easily hold its shape and look good for years to come. I've accented with a trio of handpainted yarns in Eldorado gold that combine silk, angora fur, cashmere and merino. It's a smart, clean and stylish beanie cap with lots of warmth and softness for the cold days ahead. Generous easy fit with lots of stretch that will always come back to where it started.

Cap #11865-Sold
This is a big Pussy Cap with a huge turned up band for serious warmth on the coldest days of winter. The yarns were chosen for extraordinary warmth and comfort as well. In maroon is a luxurious yarn that was custom spun for me in Canada and is a blending of cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca! Yes, it's the most indulgent combination I could come up with. And it works. Accompanying it throughout the cap is a beautiful handpainted merino wool from Uruguay - you'll notice how the colors swirl around the cap as they work their way to the top. The angora fur in the maroon yarn will bloom with time creating more softness than you'll know what to do with. This is a beautiful, luxurious and totally utilitarian Pussy Cap for years and years of winter warmth and comfort.

Cap #9802-Sold
At first glance this beanie cap might seem kind of ordinary but the gorgeous animal-fibered yarns lift it right on up into wonderful. Lisa Souza handspun the natural tan camel down and its companion is the fantastic handpainted Koigu merino from the Landras of Ontario. Together these two yarns make for a thick cushy fabric that is as warm and durable as it is beautiful. The fit is classic beanie cap with plenty of stretch to fit anyone's head.

Cap #11867  Sold
I've chosen an amazing trio of yarns for this substantial Pussy Cap starting with a Canadian yarn that was custom spun for me out of equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. Maroon is its color. Joining it is a handpainted beauty from Lisa Souza that's blended from baby alpaca and silk. Yum. And finally a jet black merino textured wool yarn that I brought back with me from Italy a few years ago. I've been hoarding the last of it and now I'm letting it go. This cap is gathered at the top instead of fitted and it looks fantastic on. Lots and lots of roomy comfort and enough stretch to accomodate any size head with any amount of hair. Serious protection, serious beauty, serious softness.

Cap #11831-Sold
Beautiful rich colors distinguish this Pussy Cap that has at its foundation a natural brown alpaca yarn from Sunrise Ranch Alpacas in Kamas, Utah. This wonderfully soft yarn has a lot of texture and is joined throughout the cap with various kinds of merino yarn in handpainted colors that cross a broad pallet. The cap is thick and warm and fits like a soft glove on your head and has plenty of length to come down to the eyebrow and below the ears.

Cap #12916  Sold
The body of this Pussy Cap is crocheted from a most beautiful pairing of yarns. The first is a Pussy Cap exclusive from Canada that's blended from equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. It's dyed and spun in a tweed that's maroon and smoky black. Joining it is a Peruvian alpaca tweed that's blended from natural blacks, greys and whites. The result is a fabric that's luxurious to the touch, crazy soft, super warm and very very durable. Accenting in the band is natural black handspun baby alpaca from Lisa Souza. Each wearing will allow the angora fur to lift up a little more and create the halo the angora is famous for. A large generous fit and a cap that looks really handsome on. A real winner all the way around.

Cap #11810  Sold
This luxurious mink and alpaca fur hat uses fur that I've upcycled from the collars of vintage coats. At the heart of this winter beauty is a Pussy Cap that I crocheted from natural Peruvian alpaca yarns for warmth, softness and durability. I hand sewed the mink fur directly onto the cap and where the fur overlaps I've used a Desert Ironwood button that my brother hand-crafted to fasten it in place. These fur hats are stunning on and perfect for any winter climate where your head absolutely must stay warm and keep you looking fabulous while doing it.

FPC #5- Sold
A symphony in tans this Four Corners Pussy Cap combines a natural Peruvian alpaca yarn with a fantastic strand of handpainted Koigu merino from Canada. Accenting is a luscious natural black alpaca yarn from Sunrise Ranch in Utah. It will take you all of 3 seconds holding this in your hands to realize you've struck the motherlode. The softness, smoothness and cushiness are off the charts! The fit is snug but there's a ton of stretch so it'll fit anyone's head nicely. The Four Corner's style allows for the band to be worn up as you see pictured or with the band turned down for a great drape in the crown. The draping top of the cap has become a very popular style for beanies and is one of my personal preferences as well. This is a great cap and one of the nicest Four Corners I've made in a long long time.

Cap #12928  $120.00 -Sold
Here we have the luxurious result of two natural colored Peruvian alpaca yarns coupled with a strand of ice-blue handpainted cashmere. The feel in hand is amazing with a softness to these yarns that could never be duplicated by anything man-made. Alpaca insures warmth, softness and durability while the cashmere adds its own kind of softness that's in a world of its own. As small as the tiny strand of cashmere is, it will bloom a little over time adding even more downy softness than it started out with. I trimmed the cap with a natural jet black alpaca yarn from Sunrise Ranch in Utah. The fit is generous and the overall style is that of a traditional beanie with lots of stretch for anybody's head. A true stunner, even in its subtlety.

Cap #12930  $100.00 -Sold
There are three beautiful yarns at work in this Pussy Cap and each one of them brings something really special to the mix. In the body of the cap I joined a strand of kid mohair with a strand of a luxurious Japanese silk ribbon yarn. They're beautiful together; the matte effect of the mohair with the shimmering luxe of the silk. Topping off the cap is a crown of handspun and handyed baby alpaca yarn from Lisa Souza in a rich pallet of purples that perfectly matches and compliments the yarns beneath it. The fit is generous and comfortable with warmth, durability and softness to spare.

Cap #11838-Sold
From the imaginarium of Lisa Souza comes a beautiful soft yarn spun from baby alpaca and silk and then dyed to subtle perfection in a mother of pearl colorway. At first glance it just seems white, but on second glance you will begin to see the soft shades of the mother of pearl stepping up. I doubled it here for extra thickness and protection. Coupled with the baby alpaca/silk yarn is a hand-dyed colorful merino wool from South America. This is a roomy cap with a big turned up band that can be worn up as shown or turned down, giving a really cool drape at the crown of the head.

Cap #9708 - Sold
Tons and tons of baby alpaca, cashmere and silk make this Pussy Cap a true showstopper as well as being downy soft and luxuriously thick. The huge turned up band is cashmere, silk and merino while the body of the cap is all natural white baby alpaca and handpainted baby blue cashmere. The tassel combines the baby alpaca with the cashmere and is fastened to the crown of the cap in such a way that it moves freely when you do. This is a big cap with an easy but not sloppy fit. Perfect for anyone with or without a lot of hair. You'll love the feel of baby alpaca, silk and cashmere all together. And you'll stay warm while loving the softness.

Cap #11895  Sold
Cashmere, cashmere and more cashmere handspun and handpainted by Lisa Souza of Placerville, CA. It's topped off with a fabulous merino ribbon yarn that was handpainted by Collinette in Wales and tapers down to the band of the cap where it's connected by the heart. The jeweled heart can be removed if you prefer something simpler. But you'd break my heart if you did.

Sold - Cap #11856 -1
Three really wonderful yarns went into this Pussy Cap. In the solid colored bands I combined two yarns - a downy soft olive boucle` from Italy with a teal Koigu merino yarn from Canada that's been handpainted. The colors of these two yarns are subtle but work as a nice foundation for the more colorful yarns they accompany. The colorful yarn here is a South American wool that was buttonspun, which is an old and now rare method of handspinning. You can hover over the images to see more detailed views of that yarn. It's amazing stuff and I was lucky to find it at a good price. Before being spun the fibers were kettle-dyed and you can really see the difference in the richness and translucency of the colors. This Pussy Cap has a substantial feel to it as well as being soft and protective. Beautiful on and priced very well for so much quality.

Nekkers start out like Pussy Caps but instead of finishing them at the top I leave them open so that you can slide them down over your head and onto your neck. It's like a scarf only it won't fall off. It's like a turtleneck without the rest of the sweater. It's like the coolest thing ever only better. As you can see in the pictures there's lots of ways you can wear your Nekker. For this stunner I crocheted two beautiful yarns together as one. The first is a Pussy Cap exclusive from Canada that blends equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca in a deep marroon. Its companion is a luscious handpainted yarn from Lisa Souza that's blended from baby alpaca and silk. All in all this is just the ultimate in a Nekker - downy soft, warm beyond warm and gorgeous on.

If you're looking for a lighter cap for this time of year then here you go! Tiny strands of natural grey merino are coupled with delicate strands of pink and maroon cashmeres for a Pussy Cap that has a lot of stretch and comfort and that will always hold its shape nicely. Trimmed in the same pink and maroon yarns used throughout, this cap has a classic beanie cap fit and style. Soft, simple and beautiful on.

Sold - Cap #12919-1
One of my favorite yarns from the past many years of making beanie caps is this Italian baby alpaca boucle` in a rich teal. The softness is off the charts and the comfort of it on is something you just have to experience. Coupled with the baby alpaca throughout the cap is a beautiful handpainted merino/silk yarn in subtle shades of silvery blues and pale golds. You won't feel it much but it adds a great contrast and vibrancy to the baby alpaca. This Four Cornered Pussy Cap can be worn with a turned up band as shown or with the band down for a nice fullness and slight drape in the crown. Either way it's stunning on and will give you many years of comfort, style and protection.

Sold - Cap #12918-1
I crocheted three strands of natural animal-fibered yarns together as one for this Pussy Cap. The first is a natural brown Peruvian alpaca, the second is a strand of white Australian baby merino and the third is a pink strand of cashmere blended with a little bit of wool. Together they make for a really soft and and comfortable fabric that I trimmed in the brown Peruvian alpaca. You can wear it with a turned up band as shown or turn the band down for a nice little drape at the crown. Either way it's wonderful on.

Sold - Cap #12924-1
Deep indigo blues with touches of periwinkle and a strong undercurrent of black make this Pussy Cap both dramatic and subtle all at the same time. The natural black yarn is superfine alpaca from Peru`, one of my all-time favorite yarns to work with. No black on earth can match its lustrous beauty. Accompanying it throughout are two strands of cashmere from Lisa Souza. One of them she handpainted in aqua blues and the other in a subtle periwinkle/purple pallet. The three yarns as one make for a supple, luxuriously soft and very warm fabric that not only feels amazing on but looks wonderful on as well. The fit is classic beanie cap with plenty of length to cover your forehead and ears. The cashmere yarns will bloom with time and create a downy soft halo making this Pussy Cap softer and more luxurious as time goes on. A real winner...

Sold - Cap #11851-1a
The body of this beanie cap combines two gorgeous yarns; one of them a lustrous silk in a subtle burgundy that was handpainted by Lisa Souza  and the other a fabulous Koigu Merino that's been handpainted by mother & daughter team Maie & Taiu Landra of Ontario, Canada. The combination of these two yarns makes for a wonderfully thick fabric that's as soft as it is beautiful and durable. The turned up band combines a strand of handspun, handpainted cashmere from Lisa Souza, a dusty maroon merino again from the Landras and a very thin strand of textured silk and rayon. The cap has a generous, easy fit and would be ideal for someone who has a lot of hair and doesn't want it too squished down when wearing a cap. I love this cap - it's sophisticated without being fussy and the colors are just wonderful.

Sold - Cap #11854-1a
Two very different yarns here that surprised me when I saw how nicely they worked together. The first is a rare and unusual yarn from India that blends colorful upcycled silk with a natural grey merino. Coupled with it throughout the cap is a handpainted yarn in varying shades of coral and periwinkle that's blended from merino and baby alpaca. Together they make for a really nice fabric that has a lot of give and softness and exceptional durability. It's a simple and classic beanie cap style with lots of length to cover the ears and forehead comfortably.

Sold - Cap #12921-1
Light and easy for spring and summer wear, this Pussy Cap has as its foundation a soft and simple yarn that was blended from merino with a little bit of cashmere. It's olive tones with flecks of natural white make a nice background for the more colorful merino yarns that accompany it throughout the cap. Great fit, classic beanie cap style. And wonderful on.

Sold  Cap #12922-1
Really gorgeous colors in this Pussy Cap for which I used a handspun and hand-dyed merino yarn from Uruguay. Coupled with that beautiful yarn is a strand of natural black Peruvian alpaca that although subtle nonetheless adds alot of depth and substance to the fabric. Lots of stretch so it's great for anybody's head but because of the natural elasticity of the yarns and the crocheting it won't lose its shape. And hey, it looks fantastic on!

Sold - Cap #12917-1
The light tan yarn you're seeing here is a blend of angora fur and merino that I hand-dyed in a vat of espresso. In reality it's not quite as yellow as in this picture but rather a nice warm tan. (Colors are often challenging with digital imagery.) Coupled with the angora/merino yarn is a strand of handpainted merino/baby alpaca yarn with a really nice pallet of colors that stretch across a wide spectrum. The top of the cap is finished off with darker complimentary colors that were handpainted onto a soft soft Uruguayan merino. A nice fit in a traditional beanie cap style with lots of warmth and protection.

Sold - Cap #12923-1
Now this is something special - a natural tan alpaca yarn that was handspun by Sandy Ryan of Wisconsin using fibers from her herd. She left these wonderful schlubs of the alpaca fibers randomly along the length of the yarn and I crocheted it in such a way that the schlubs all appear on one side. They're downy soft and such a completely integral part of the yarn that they'll never come off. Accompanying the tan alpaca is a natural white superfine alpaca yarn from Peru`. Tons of warmth and softness and plenty of length to cover your ears in this 100% natural alpaca Pussy Cap.

Sold - 11886-S
Three luxurious yarns have gone into this beautiful Pussy Cap. The blue yarn is a wonderfully soft alpaca from Sunrise Ranch in Kamas, Utah where my friend Deb McMurtrie keeps careful watch over her herd of alpacas and llamas. It was spun and dyed locally in Utah and went from Deb's hands to mine. The gorgeous natural silver angora fur was spun for me on Prince Edward Island in Canada and accompanies the blue alpaca throughout the cap. And finally, accenting is a maroon stunner that was also custom spun for me from the same mill in Canada from equal parts cashmere, angora fur and baby alpaca. Thick, luxuriously soft and generously sized for anybody's head no matter what size or how much hair this is a Pussy Cap of heirloom quality and durability.

Sold - Cap #11804-S
Thick and soft and cushy this Pussy Cap boasts three amazing yarns crocheted together as one. A natural jet-black strand of alpaca from Peru` is the foundation and it is accompanied by two very different strands of handpainted merino in subtle shades of purple and smoky lavender. Warm, soft, durable and classically styled for anybody's head no matter how big or small.

Sold #11873-S
The foundational yarn in this golden Pussy Cap is a handspun, handpainted blend of cashmere and merino. Coupled with it is a tiny strand of brown, handpainted Mongollian cashmere that although hard to see in this picture certainly makes it presence known in hand or on your head with its amazing softness. Accenting in the band is a natural brown handspun alpaca and a beautiful hand-dyed golden wool from Uruguay, which is picked up again in the crown of the cap. Because of the yarns I used this Pussy Cap has a lot of stretch and memory so no matter how much you wear it it's always going to go right back to its original shape and size. The fit is easy and snug but not tight with plenty of length to cover the ears and forehead. Super nice on and a great deal at a hundred bucks!
